Skidding to a stop in a residential area, Eobard checks a device to confirm the current date. "Right on target." He said as he looks to see a group of bewildered thugs hanging out nearby. A cruel smirk crosses his lips as he starts to walk towards them, causing the men to attempt to flee.

"Heh. Time to cause some trouble. Hopefully they'll send him after me." He says, disappearing in a bolt of electricity as he gives chase to the thugs.

"Who failed? These things take time, you know. Even for someone as fast as me."

Tapping his own temple with a finger.

"Didn't take long for me to figure out your whole situation. It's easy to see why you lash out."

"Nobody failed. 𝘠𝘦𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺. The media is a dangerous thing here. There's more than just news that has eyes on Supes"

The blondes eyes narrowing. "What is that supped to mean..?" Although he already knew, he still wanted to hear it.

"You really need me to spell it out?" Leaning up from his relaxed position, Reverse Flash would zip closer to the blonde.

"Big strong hero. Famous. Handsome. Got the whole world groveling at your feet."

A gloved finger traces Homelander's collarbone.

"Except the ones who really call the shots, of course."

The blonde nearly groaned out but held it together. Blue eyes darted to the other man and narrowed.

"I call the fucking shots-" he began to snap out. Which was an utter lie. Sure, he could get away with 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 things under Vought's watch...but there was a line he needed to tow to ensure his status was secure.

"Do you now? Is that why they've got a leash on you? To rein you in whenever they're afraid of you? Is that why the government mostly works with the League?"

His red eyes flash briefly as he speaks in a low whisper.

"I can make your dreams come true, Homelander. You can have it all. Fame, power, authority... All we have to do is eliminate all the other candidates."

He fell silent again with a furrowed brow. The other man was painfully right...

He had been groomed for righteousness- to an extent. He was also meant to be a god among the common people and among the supes. Why shouldn't he be able to enjoy the total fruits of his labor?

"Tempting, isn't it? I can tell by your reaction." He says. "I'll make sure that you're the only one anyone needs. They'll worship the ground you walk on."

He hooks an arm around Homelander's shoulder.

"All I need to get started, is a base of operations. You can help with that, right?"

He would hesitate a moment before a thought came to him.

"I have some place a ways out...It's small, but it could get the job done"
